About IDS

We Empower Vulnerable Communities To Establish A New Social Order For Better Future By Capacitating Men, Women, Children And Differently Abled Through An Integrated Development Approach.

About Us

Integrated Development Society (IDS) is a secular, non-profit development organization dedicated to protecting and empowering vulnerable children, poor, marginalized, and tribal communities in Odisha since 1990. Child protection, care for orphaned and abandoned children, and facilitating family-based care through adoption are at the heart of IDS’s mission.

Through its Child Care Institution and Adoption Agency, IDS provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children, ensuring their access to care, education, health, emotional well-being, and opportunities for a brighter future.

Along side its child-focused initiatives, IDS works with marginalized and tribal communities through community-led programs in sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, health, education, local governance, and sustainable livelihoods. With a strong presence in the tribal districts of Koraput and Rayagada in Odisha, IDS promotes social justice, dignity, self-reliance, and inclusive development. IDS envisions a compassionate and equitable society where every child is protected, every family is empowered, and every community has the opportunity to thrive.

Our Mission

IDS strives to create a just and inclusive society where every child is protected and every marginalized community can thrive. We safeguard orphaned and vulnerable children through holistic care, education, and family-based rehabilitation, while empowering tribal, Dalit, and disadvantaged communities through sustainable livelihoods, dignity, and participatory development. Guided by compassion, non violence, and social justice, we enable communities to shape a better future.

Our Vision

To create a society of hope, compassion, and social justice where vulnerable children are nurtured, marginalized communities are empowered, and every person can live a life of dignity, security, and opportunity.

Our Goals

  •  Child Protection & Institutional Care: To guarantee the survival, protection, and holistic development of vulnerable children by operating high-impact grassroots facilities, including Child Care Institution (CCI), dedicated Tribal Orphan School, and specialized Adoption Centre.
  •  Sustainable Family Livelihoods: To break the generational cycle of poverty by empowering marginalized families with resilient livelihood models, vocational training, and economic resources that enable self-reliance.
